"Collateral"—The Coyote Scene

Yesterday I watched the movie "Collateral" (2004) by Michael Mann. I couldn't be sure, but I think this is the second time I watched it since there were several scenes seemed very familar. The coyote scene brought me some special feeling as the soundtrack "Shadow on the Sun" started.

Get with it. Millions of galaxies of hundreds of millions of stars, in a speck on one in a blink. That's us, lost in space. The cop, you, me... Who notices?

This is the first time I got to know about the band Audioslave, and I did listen to their other songs and learn more about Chris Cornell. This "Shadow on the Sun" just gave me goosebumps as that coyote crossing the L.A. street, and Chris Cornell's voice created resonance. It seemed to be out of the place at first, then I felt the loneliness and somewhat emptiness, not only from Vincent's facial expression, but also from my own, late at night, while my wife and kids were deep in sweet dreams.

A guy gets on the MTA here L.A. and dies. Think anybody'll notice?
